A Well-Rounded Approach to Riding & Horsemanship

At Libben Horsemanship Academy, we offer a well-rounded horsemanship journey that goes far beyond riding. Through structured weekly lessons, monthly horsemanship classes, personalized coaching, and consistent progress tracking, students grow in skill, confidence, and compassion for horses.

Tailored Riding Lessons for Every Rider

Each rider receives individual attention in every lesson, with instruction customized to their level, pace, and learning style. Our mission is to help each student become a capable, confident rider who understands and respects the horse—on the ground and in the saddle.

Hands-On Monthly Horsemanship Classes

Once a month, students attend a 2-hour Horsemanship Class that deepens their understanding of horse care, grooming, feeding, tack management, and safety practices. These classes help students gain real-world skills and become more independent around horses.

Twice-Yearly Goal-Setting for Continued Progress

We host individual goal-setting sessions twice a year with each student (and their parents, if applicable). These check-ins help students reflect, celebrate progress, and set new, achievable milestones—keeping them engaged and motivated on their horsemanship journey.

Structured Curriculum with Visual Progress Tracking

Each student follows a leveled riding curriculum managed through an online portal (such as Trello). Their personalized card includes lesson notes, photos, and video updates—offering a clear, interactive view of their learning path and accomplishments.

Celebrating Every Milestone Achieved

We take pride in recognizing our riders' hard work. As students pass levels or achieve personal breakthroughs, we celebrate with small award ceremonies and meaningful recognition—building self-esteem and reinforcing a growth mindset.
